A simple marketing framework I created you can use for your events…
And it works for your own personal brand too.
Quantity time + quality time = face time (being remembered).
We're all about face time in events, but when an event ends we go a bit quieter until the next campaign starts.
That's a mistake. You need to stay on your audience's radar between the dates so that when they're ready to book/register, yours is the event they think of.
Quantity time is your short form, the stuff you can do often enough to stay visible all year rather than only when there's a campaign on:
Posting consistently on socials, adding value instead of just promoting stuff
Short blog content you share by email
Always-on digital ads working across different funnel stages, rather than paid that only wakes up 8-14 weeks out
Short video
The channel list goes on.
Quality time is long-form, and it's the half that doesn't get the same attention:
Going on someone else's podcast
Hosting your own
Being a guest on a webinar, or running a series of them
Speaking at an event
A newsletter people actually read rather than scan
People remember the brands they've spent proper time with. 30-45 mins of someone's attention, regularly, will likely do more than 30 pieces of short form.
Neither works as well on its own though. A lot of event brands focus more on one, either lots of short promotional content, or doing one or two long form pieces that may get missed because they'd gone quiet in between.
And only about 5% of your market is ready to book right now.
Face time is how the other 95% already know who you are by the time their window opens.
However, it’s important to remember that none of this works as well without a proper marketing strategy first: who you're targeting, how you're positioned to them, and objectives that ladder up into growth.
Nail that and run both halves, and you give yourself a good chance at being the brand they think of first.
